We’ve known Sarah and her family for a while now, and had the pleasure of photographing her when she graduated from law school out here on the West Coast. When she and her hubby, Jason, were married two years ago, they lived overseas, and had a small, intimate event back home. When they decided to renew their vows in Chicago, they did it up in big city style.
As the girls prepped, the groom meticulously got into his Navy dress blues. Jason- we appreciate your service!
Sarah designed several amazing Chicago-themed gift bags and the family filled them full of local treats like Fannie Mae chocolates and Garrett’s popcorn, to make guests feel welcome at the destination wedding.
This hanger was given to her from one of her bridesmaids… back when Sarah stood for her at her wedding. Love it!
This crew was awesome! You can tell what great friends the couple are by what great friends they have. The weekend was full of laughter and fun!
Sarah resurrected the original (green!) shoes she wore for their ‘first wedding’.
Grandma helped Jason get ready the morning of the wedding. She’s the cutest thing and everybody loves her.
Dad lent a hand, too.
The first time we photographed her, our cameras instantly loved Sarah. We think she has a future in modeling if that whole lawyering thing doesn’t work out!

No, you’re not seeing two Jasons– that’s identical twin brother, Dan, who is also in the Navy. Not to mention the rest of the great looking wedding party.

At sunset, the public was escorted from the zoo and we had the entire place to ourselves. Along with many an amazing beast.
