Back in my video days, I had the privilege of shooting the wedding of Erin + John – a great TX couple. Fast forward 6 years and we all showed up on the same island (Coronado) with the same smiles. This time, though, they had little Sam in tow. What you end up with is a classic session with a beautiful family.
A few years ago, we met the amazing and talented Katherine Hoggard. She has since focused her skills as an event planner into a business which has exploded into an extremely successful and popular stop for brides hoping to fulfill their dreams of the perfect wedding. We were recently honored to make an appearance on their blog. Check out the story here (http://www.eventsbykatherine.com/?p=2512). And the answer is, no… they did not intentionally end the link with a ‘512’. : )
If you’re looking for a coordinator – especially in the Orange County area – please drop them a line. Katherine and her team are crazy gifted and definitely know how to take care of their clients.
Here’s THE Katherine on her wedding day.
Our friends at Culinary Concepts joined with Alaska Airlines to put together a unique event for a number of travel professionals in town for the GBTA travel conference .
The VIPs were treated to a private flight over Catalina Island in a Boeing 737 900-ER.
Check out their new ambient “mood” lighting!
Alaska’s execute chef, Joshua Rappaport, spoiled the passengers with a treat that gives a new meaning to the term “airline food.” So good!
Culinary Concepts always shines with their fresh, crave-worthy plates. This event was no exception. In keeping with the theme, there was fresh Alaskan salmon on the menu.
You couldn’t help but hum “Come Fly with Me.” It was an evening that made everyone feel fly like a G6!
When Lisa Richmond asked me to take a photograph of her family, I was extremely touched. First, because she’s such a gifted photographer but – more importantly – because of the importance of the portrait. Her dad, Randy, was extremely ill and only given a few months to live. Although the opportunity to take the photo never materialized, I was honored to join her family on a peaceful catamaran cruise around San Diego Bay to remember this man who had such a profound impact on so many lives. Being an avid sailor himself, it was the perfect setting for laughs, tears, and an abundance of amazing memories. As you can see Lisa, her mom, and the whole family was in great spirits and the event was a fantastic time for them to come together in Randy’s honor.
Lisa, I couldn’t be more grateful to join you and your family.
